Lego House Challenge
On Wednesday 20th September, Owls class took part in the Lego House challenge! This was a maths based challenge but also involved a bit of architecture. Not only did the children have to follow an architectural plan to build a Lego house, they then had to plan and produce their own to-scale drawings. In addition, they had a limited fund of £150 (not real money sadly) with which to buy building materials and create their own house. The children worked in pairs and each group were judged on: teamwork, creativity, accuracy and keeping to a budget. To their great surprise and delight, Emily and Tayla were judged to have shown brilliant examples of all of those things and were deemed the winners! They will be attending the Lego House final on Thursday 19th October to represent Petham! Well done girls!
